Raw Double Chocolate Cherry Squares
-175g dates (soaked in warm water if needed)
-30g raw almonds (optional)
-130g dried mulberries
-20g carob powder
-100g dates (soaked in warm water if needed)
-75g fresh dark cherries, pitted (or thawed from frozen)
-85g ripe banana
-15g carob powder
-10g milled chia seeds
-25g fresh dark cherries, pitted (or thawed from frozen)
-15g raw cacao nibs (optional)
-Starting with the base ingredients. First drain the water from the dates.
-Now into your food processor, add the dates, dried mulberries, carob powder (and raw almonds if you desire). Blend it up until it begins clumping together.
-Pour this mixture into your baking loaf pan, or container of your choice.
-Press the mixture down smoothly.
-Now moving on to the filling. Place all of the filling ingredients into your blender. Blend it up smooth.
-Pour this creamy mixture on top of your base. Smooth it out neatly with a spatula or large spoon.
-Sprinkle over the top some chopped cherries and raw cacao nibs if you desire.
-Place it into the freezer to firm for about 6-8 hours.
-Then slice it up and enjoy!
